About Us

When we give cheerfully and accept gratefully, everyone is blessed.

Founding Story

The story began with a stark realization that obesity was rapidly increasing and has more than tripled over the last decade. I set out on a journey to research, explore, and analyze why the obesity rate was rapidly rising around the world.

The results were clear, we are moving less and the lack of physical activity and education on nutrition play a huge part in this pandemic. Over the last decade nations, schools, kids, and communities simply have been less active.

At that point I knew something had to be done immediately.

I started this organization to be a voice and to help educate, and accelerate the implementation of successful strategies that will prevent and combat obesity around the world. Such strategies including providing indoor and outdoor facilities in every community where families can Run and Play EVERYDAY. Advocating and addressing the best available scientific information ensuring access to facilities and increasing physical activity in schools, communities, and empowering leaders, parents, and caregivers to take a stand with their health.

Run-and-Play was my way of taking some concrete action against the growing menace of obesity.

I could no longer sit on the sideline and allow this disease to overtake our families and communities. I didn’t just take up this issue for fun, I did it because I’m a dad who cares deeply about the health and the well-being of my daughter and because I deeply care about the health and well-being of other kids and families around the world in underprivileged communities.

I will continue to work on this issue and fight for obesity and the lack of physical activity around the world for the rest of my life.

You can have all the riches and success in the world, but if you don’t have your health, you have nothing.

No more excuses. Let’s Run and Play a little more EVERYDAY

Who are we?

For starters, were a non-profit organization. A group of passionate and driven individuals, tackling the issue of obesity and lack of enough physical activity around the world.

We are making Run-and-Play cool again, not only among the youth but also among the elderly, because everyone deserves to be healthy.

So it’s not only an organization trying to encourage individuals to engage in regular exercises but an organization that’s trying to make exercising a lifestyle for everyone.

What do we do?

Well, we do a lot of things. Let’s start with the obvious one. We personally make sure that people are, in fact, running and playing everyday. It might sound a bit ambiguous. Let’s simplify it.

We start by building facilities to promote a culture of physical activity amongst underprivileged and less fortunate populations around the world, especially kids. We construct facilities, such as basketball courts, gymnasiums, soccer fields, playground and a lot more.

We donate equipment such as soccer balls, shoes, bats, basketballs, and bicycles just to name a few.

Apart from all of that, we also take up bigger and different projects that involve promoting physical activity and healthy diets, and also motivate and advocate for communities, schools, and governments to take action and support our mission in fighting obesity around the world.

Why do we do it?

It’s not that difficult to understand how important physical activity is for us.

Over the past three decades, obesity rates have tripled, and today, nearly one in three children in America are overweight or obese.

Kids need physical activity because their bodies are constantly growing, and physical actions help them develop their motor skills, social skills, and build character.

The same goes for adults and the elderly; the body needs regular exercise to function properly. You can avoid a dozen diseases that come about with aging, and the other unhealthy habits we pick up along the way.

You are more likely to be physical active if physical activity facilities such as playgrounds are in your community. It’s a beneficial investment for life.
